It’s Game Time for the Dallas Cowboys!

With just one game left to go to end the preseason set and officially begin the coming season of the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys have some exciting matches lined up for September. Which one(s) are you gonna be there for?

Houston Texans - September 1

The last game in the preseason set, the match against the Houston Texans will have the added excitement of being the precursor to the official onset of football season! Having entered the NFL only in 2002, the Texans are the youngest franchise and as such, have not had the time to build classic rivalries. Nevertheless, they do have an intrastate rivalry with the Cowboys - they compete for the “Governor’s Cup”...and that should make this game very interesting!

New York Giants - September 11

Games against the New York Giants, one of the Cowboys’ favourite rivals, always live up to the promise of an exciting evening. With an evenly split season record last year and key players on the Giants team that are always ready to thwart the Cowboys’ plays, this match is set to be a thrilling contest you don’t want to miss. Who’s gonna pass up a chance to be in the stands for this one?

Washington Redskins - September 18

The Cowboys’ rivalry with the Washington Redskins began when the former joined the NFL; a deal had been struck between former Redskins owner George Preston Marshall and Clint Murchison Jr. to buy the team. But Marshall changed the terms at the last minute and the deal fell through...and the rivalry was born. Carried on from them to their players, every match is an ultimate challenge of skill and competition!

Chicago Bears - September 25

The Chicago Bears come with a list of triumphs - nine NFL championships, one Super Bowl, most members in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and more season and overall victories recorded than any other NFL franchise. With a resume like that, a game between the Bears and the Cowboys is slated to be action-packed event as they slug it out in another journey to the top. You definitely wanna be there!

When you think of football, you think NFL...and when you think NFL, you think Dallas Cowboys! Football season is a high octane time, filled with excitement, adrenaline and competition; especially when you’re watching champions like the Cowboys. So here’s the big question: the season is about to begin...got your Dallas Cowboy tickets?

Who are the Dallas Cowboys?

A professional football team and member of the National Football League, the Dallas Cowboys (despite their name) call Texas home and play their home games at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, formerly called the Cowboys Stadium. Formed in 1960, by the ‘70s and ‘80s, they’d earned themselves the title of “America’s Team”. Since then, they’ve also been nicknamed “Doomsday Defense”, “The Boys”, and “Big D” and a number of their players have made it into the Hall of Fame.

The wealthiest team in the NFL (with an estimated worth of a whopping approximately $4 billion in 2015), the Cowboys are the only team in NFL history to have 20 consecutive winning seasons...a record still unchallenged. If that weren’t enough, a testament to their enduring popularity with the national population would be their NFL record of sold out games - a streak of 190 consecutive regular and post-season games sold out, beginning in 2002.

The Cowboys have made it to the Super Bowl eight times, and won five of those appearances; the last one was back in 1995.
