Top 10 Most Subscribed NFL Team YouTube Channels

Now that you’ve watched those exciting games of the NFL season thus far, what’s an ardent fan to do except subscribe to the team YouTube channels to watch some of those moments again and catch other great videos of your favourite players?

And the beauty of YouTube is that you can watch these videos over and over again, save them, and share them with other fans. After all, if a picture says a 1000 words, imagine how much conversation these videos can generate!

All 32 NFL teams have their dedicated YouTube channels, but which ones have racked up the most views? Let’s take a look at the top ten channels:

Atlanta Falcons - 26,145 Subscribers


The most popular NFL team channel by a wide margin, the Atlanta Falcons YouTube channel showcases their game highlights, practice sessions, draft videos, interviews with team members and coaches, initiatives that the players are part of, etc. Playlists like “Aww Snap”, where the team answers fans’ comments and questions on Snapchat, and “Friday Funnies”, where the players answer whacky questions, are also great draws for fans to see the more personal sides of the players.

Baltimore Ravens - 19,123 Subscribers


While not ranking among the top accounts on Facebook or Twitter, with approaching 20k subscribers, the Baltimore Ravens have the second most watched team YouTube channel. Subscribers can watch videos of the team’s press conferences, reports and analyses on game performances, practice highlights, training camps, draft videos, etc. Playlists like “#RavensMailbag”, which answers fan questions;”Ravens. Life. Style”, which deals with players’ personal initiatives; and “Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders”, which showcases their calendar shoots also give fans a closer look at their chosen team. Across 20 playlists, subscribers have a lot to choose from!

Seattle Seahawks - 16,725 Subscribers


Coming in at number three are the Seattle Seahawks, with 16k subscribers to their YouTube channel. Hawks fans have varied material to choose from with game highlights, press conferences, and game trailers. There are also Seahawks commercials, videos of what the players are up to off the field,and best of all, an “NFL Films Vault” where fans can watch videos of great moments in Seahawks history.

Carolina Panthers - 14,956 Subscribers


The Panthers have snagged the fourth spot with almost 15k subscribers to their channel. Here also, fans watch training camp videos, draft videos, one-on-one player interviews, season highlights, and press conferences. There are also playlists like “Panthers Mailbag”, where staff writer Max Henson answer fan questions; and “This is Sir Purr”, cashing in on the quirky side of the team mascot; that keep fans visiting the page regularly.

Washington Redskins - 13,744 Subscribers


The Washington Redskins are another example of an NFL team who may not rank as popular on Twitter and Facebook but clearly have their YouTube strategy down; with 13.7k subscribers, they come in halfway on this list. Unlike the other teams, the Redskins’ YouTube channel is heavy on post-game press conference videos, allowing the viewers to revisit their favourite moments and listen to analyses of game performances.

Chicago Bears - 12,299 Subscribers


The Chicago Bears’ YouTube channel is a testament of content that keeps the fans coming back. The channel hosts videos covering everything from game highlights, press conferences, draft videos, preseason videos, and training camp videos; but they also upload videos with the players answering fan questions, doing whacky things (like “Big Guys in Compact Cars”), hosting podcasts, and generally making themselves accessible to their fan base.

Philadelphia Eagles - 10,472 Subscribers


The 10k+ Eagles fans have a lot to choose from on the team’s YouTube channel. With videos covering analyses, game plans, trailers, interviews, and breaking down the plays, every fan’s thirst for game excitement is quenched. But they also get to see what their players are doing in and for their communities, enjoy the history of this amazing team, listen to podcasts, and watch Eagles cartoons. What better way for a fan to spend their day than being on this channel?

San Francisco 49ers - 6,866 Subscribers


The San Francisco 49ers have a devoted fanbase who are definitely keeping up with the team’s happenings on their YouTube channel. Besides enjoying the game highlights, one-on-one interviews with the players, the documentary series, etc., fans really get to know their favourites through their snapchat video compilations, their “Niner Talk” discussion videos, etc. Fans also get to engage with the team by sending in videos talking about their love for the 49ers, participate in contests, etc. This channel definitely has them keeping up with the 49ers!

New England Patriots - 6,646 Subscribers


The New England Patriots joined the YouTube world much later than many of the teams; considering their launch in 2015, they have risen quickly to rank ninth in popularity with 6.6k subscribers. And they’ve done this without dividing their videos into different playlists - their channel is a single goldmine of game videos, playbook videos, insights into the players’ lives, and entertaining segments where fans can see their lighter side.

Dallas Cowboys - 6,448 Subscribers


Also a 2015 arrival, the Cowboys have quickly cashed in on their vast social media popularity and racked up almost 6.5k subscribers and bagged the tenth spot in this list. The team has made viewing a very easy choice for their fans, with one playlist dedicated to their players and the second to the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. In the player-specific videos, fans get to know the players a bit more personally while also finding out about team traditions and such. The cheerleaders videos also add another human element to the videos, taking viewers into the photoshoots but also telling them about their lives as cheerleaders and what it means to them.
